Sphynx Outcross Program

The Sphynx is still considered rare to which the lineage is not as extensive as many other breeds.  In order to develop healthy and hearty "new" bloodlines some breeders have decided to do out crossing to broaden the gene pool.

Breeders try to search for the right cat to enhance the features of the Sphynx, so as not to "over breed" causing to add to the numbers of unwanted pets.  The Domestic Shorthair and the American Shorthair are two of the breeds most used in any one outcross program today.

The program takes awhile for a new gene pool to generate kittens that can be shown but all kittens tend to carry the traits of the Sphynx.

I will be working toward an outcross program in the near future.  Please stop back if at all interested and maybe you could adopt a f1 outcross as a pet.

Meet Callie.  I rescued Callie and her kittens she had at the time.  The kittens were raised and fixed and adopted out to good homes.  Callie seemed to be all that I was looking for in my outcross program so I kept her here and about 7 months later  I bred her and Paulie and they had a litter of very nice kittens.  I then fixed mom and soon had pet homes for all the kittens.  Callie was searching for her forever family --with my help--- and now I am happy to say that in August Callie has been adopted to a wonderful home and is doing very well.  She is happy as can be!

kittens at 6 wks old:)   The ones that are adopted already have homes they will be going to and they can hardly wait to be spoiled rotten!   Autumn went to a co-worker of mine her and her family LOVE her and she has a playmate to run around with.  Whiskers also went to a co-worker.  His daughter is his best buddy and the 2 of them are unseparatable. Gazoo and Gracie live together with another new cat buddy and 2 of my friends.  The two boys that have stayed here are as sweet as can be and when they are ready to be adopted out I would prefer them to go together.

Frosty is so sweet he is a talker like his daddy and he is constantly purring.  Rocky is a big handsome boy and is also is as sweet as can be. Below are some pictures of the kittens---I have to get everyone to send me pictures of the babies online.
